Professional and White-Label Direction

Professional and white-label editions should inherit the same core systems logic, but not the Family or Roommate voice by default.

Shared Non-Negotiables

  • explainable product behavior
  • no-shame guidance patterns
  • visible responsibilities and follow-through
  • configurable but bounded notification tone
  • privacy, safety, and governance guardrails

What Should Be Configurable

  • brand name and visual identity
  • edition labels and glossary terms
  • role names
  • feature availability by plan or partner
  • compliance copy where required

What Should Not Be Forked Repeatedly

  • Behavioral OS foundation
  • glossary-level systems concepts
  • onboarding logic
  • trust and governance philosophy
  • reusable workflow explanations

Documentation Rule

If a future edition changes only branding or audience framing, extend this hub with edition-specific docs and overrides.

If it changes the product model itself, document the exception explicitly instead of cloning the whole site.
