HausFlow Family — Terms of Service

Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the HausFlow Family mobile application and related services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is provided by Mavaro Systems LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we," "us," or "our").
If you are accepting on behalf of a household or another person, you represent that you have the authority to bind that person or household to these Terms.
Important Disclaimers
Product Boundary
HausFlow Family is a household coordination tool. It is not medical, mental health, legal, or professional advice.
HausFlow Family is designed to support task management, routines, family coordination, and calmer home operations. It does not provide medical care, mental health treatment, crisis response, diagnosis, therapy, legal advice, or any regulated professional services.
If you are in crisis or need urgent help, contact local emergency services or a qualified professional.
No Outcome Guarantees
HausFlow Family does not guarantee:
- specific results from using the Service
- achievement of any household goal or objective
- improvement in family coordination, habits, or routines
- any particular behavioral outcome for any family member
Results depend on your effort, household circumstances, and individual choices.
Service Description
HausFlow Family is a household coordination application that includes:
- task creation, assignment, and completion tracking
- household routine management
- shared family member roles (parent and kid modes)
- a chore library with curated task templates
- family invitation and member management
- proof photo submission and parent review
- points and reward system for kids
- Family Board™ (shared floating task pool) — Pro feature
- Handled It™ (kid-initiated contribution logging) — Pro feature
- chore scheduling and calendar planning — Pro feature
- push notifications for assignments and reminders
The feature set available to you depends on your subscription tier.
Parental Responsibility and Child Users
Parent Accounts
HausFlow Family is designed for use by families. The parent or guardian who creates the household account ("Home Leader") is the primary account holder and assumes full responsibility for:
- all activity within their household, including activity by child users
- ensuring that child users use the Service appropriately
- reviewing and approving submissions from child users
- configuring household settings, including proof requirements and point values
Child Users
Children who join a household via invite code are sub-users operating under the parent's account. By allowing a child to use the Service, the parent or guardian:
- confirms they have authority to consent on the child's behalf
- accepts responsibility for the child's use of the Service
- agrees to supervise the child's interaction with the app as appropriate for the child's age
COPPA and Children's Privacy
The collection and use of personal information from children under 13 is governed by our Children's Privacy Policy and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). See that document for full details.
Subscription Tiers
Free Tier
Free tier includes:
- complete chore management (up to 25 active chores)
- household with up to 5 members
- up to 5 routines per kid
- 30-day activity history
- up to 100 proof photos
Pro Tier
Pro tier includes everything in Free, plus:
- Family Board™ (shared household task pool)
- Handled It™ (kid initiative logging and review)
- Chore scheduling (due dates and recurring day-of-week)
- Calendar Planning on the Family screen
- Unlimited members, chores, routines, history, and proof photos
Subscription Terms
- Pro subscriptions are billed through the platform from which you downloaded the app (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) or through Mavaro Systems LLC directly where applicable
- Billing intervals, pricing, and renewal terms are shown at the time of purchase
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date
- Cancelling stops future charges; access continues through the end of the current billing period
- Price changes will be communicated in advance
- Charges are generally non-refundable once a billing period begins, except where required by law or applicable platform policy
- For App Store or Google Play purchases, refund requests are handled under the respective platform's refund policies
Intellectual Property
Ownership
All content, features, functionality, frameworks, and designs within the Service are owned by Mavaro Systems LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret, and other applicable intellectual property laws.
Trademarks
The following are protected trademarks or branded terms of Mavaro Systems LLC:
- HausFlow Family™ — primary product name
- Family Board™ — collaborative household task pool feature
- Handled It™ — kid-initiated contribution feature
- Less Friction. More Flow.™ — brand tagline
- Mavaro Systems Behavioral OS™ — underlying behavioral framework
Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended personal household purpose. This license does not include:
- copying, modifying, or creating derivative works of any part of the Service
- reverse engineering or attempting to extract source code
- using our trademarks or brand without written permission
- distributing, sublicensing, or commercial use of the Service or its output
Restrictions
You may not:
- copy, modify, or create derivative works
- reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
- use our trademarks without written permission
- use the Service for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose
- attempt to bypass security measures or access controls
- interfere with the Service's proper operation
- use the Service in a way that harms us or any person
User Content
Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create within HausFlow Family ("User Content"), including chores, notes, routine items, proof photos, and other household data. By submitting User Content, you:
- grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content to provide the Service
- confirm you have the right to share that content
- acknowledge that content shared within a household (e.g., chore assignments, proof photos) may be visible to other household members
Proof Photos
Proof photos submitted by child users are visible to the parent account holder for review. These photos are stored by Mavaro Systems LLC solely to deliver the Service and are not used for any other purpose. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Feedback
If you submit feedback, suggestions, or bug reports, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, modify, and incorporate that content for any lawful business purpose without compensation to you.
Account Responsibilities
Account Security
You are responsible for:
- maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- all activity that occurs under your account, including activity by child users you have invited
- notifying us immediately at legal@mavarosystems.com if you suspect unauthorized use
Account Requirements
- The Home Leader must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction)
- You must provide accurate registration information
- You must not share your parent account credentials with child users
- You must comply with all applicable laws when using the Service
Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:
- planned maintenance
- technical difficulties
- circumstances beyond our control, including force majeure events
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or tier at any time, with reasonable notice where practical.
Beta and Experimental Features
Some features may be labeled as Beta, Experimental, or Preview. These features:
- are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- may change, be limited, or be removed without prior notice
- are not guaranteed to behave as expected
- are used at your own risk
Disclaimers
As-Is Basis
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
No Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING:
- MERCHANTABILITY
- FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
- NON-INFRINGEMENT
- TITLE
- ACCURACY OR COMPLETENESS
- UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE SERVICE
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- for paid subscribers, our total liability is capped at the fees you paid to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the claim
- for free users, our total liability is capped at $10 USD
In no event shall Mavaro Systems LLC be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.
You acknowledge that this limitation of liability reflects a reasonable and negotiated allocation of risk that forms an essential basis of this agreement.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mavaro Systems LLC and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to:
- your use of the Service
- your User Content
- your violation of these Terms
- your violation of any third-party rights
- your conduct, or conduct by child users within your household, that harms us or others
Termination
By You
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through Settings → Account → Privacy → Delete Account.
By Us
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you:
- breach these Terms
- violate applicable law
- abuse or exploit the Service
- fail to pay for a paid tier
- engage in conduct that creates legal risk for us or others
Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- your license to use the Service ends immediately
- we may delete your account and associated content, subject to legal or operational retention requirements
- paid access ends at the close of the current billing period unless terminated for cause
Survival
The following provisions survive termination: Intellectual Property, User Content (license grant), Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law, and Dispute Resolution.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in courts located in Delaware, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Dispute Resolution
Informal Resolution First
Before initiating any formal proceeding, you agree to first contact legal@mavarosystems.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
Binding Arbitration
If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration administered under the rules of a recognized arbitration body in Delaware, except where applicable law mandates a different forum or where either party seeks qualifying small-claims relief.
Class Action Waiver
YOU WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT, CLASS ARBITRATION, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING AGAINST US.
Changes to These Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will:
- post updated Terms in the app and at our documentation site
- update the "Last Updated" date
- provide reasonable in-app notice where practicable
Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
App Store Provisions
Apple App Store
If you downloaded HausFlow Family from the Apple App Store:
- These Terms are between you and Mavaro Systems LLC only — not Apple
- Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance, support, or warranties for the Service
- In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms of Service, Apple's terms govern for matters within Apple's remit
- Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled under Apple's standard policies
Google Play Store
If you downloaded HausFlow Family from the Google Play Store:
- These Terms are between you and Mavaro Systems LLC only — not Google
- Google is not responsible for the Service or its content
- Refund requests for Google Play purchases are handled under Google's standard policies
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Children's Privacy Policy, and IP Protection Notice, constitute the entire agreement between you and Mavaro Systems LLC regarding the Service.
