Troubleshooting & Recovery

This guide covers two categories of problems:

  • product issues
  • restart and recovery issues

Product Issues

Login problems

Try:

  1. logging out and back in
  2. checking that you used the correct sign-in method
  3. updating the app
  4. contacting support if access still fails

Data looks out of sync

Try:

  1. reopening the app
  2. checking connectivity
  3. triggering manual sync if supported
  4. contacting support if the mismatch persists

Notifications are missing

Check:

  1. device notification permissions
  2. quiet hours settings
  3. app notification preferences
  4. whether the relevant feature is enabled in your build

Recovery Issues

Fell off for a few days

That is a reset problem, not a failure problem.

Start with:

  1. one visible next action
  2. one routine or flow, not five
  3. a short check-in after the first restart

System feels too heavy

Make it smaller.

Reduce:

  • the number of active routines
  • the number of notifications
  • the amount of language in each step
  • the number of decisions required to restart

Tone feels wrong

Check the edition first.

  • Family should feel warm and supportive
  • Roommate should feel neutral and respectful
  • Professional editions should feel clear without becoming cold

If the tone is wrong for the edition, the workflow probably needs adjustment.
